American Civil War[edit]

In the US Navy at the time of the Civil War, the fleet captain was the senior aide to the flag officer or admiral. I do not know when the term was introduced, nor how long it persisted. PKKloeppel (talk) 13:55, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been around long enough without any references and without citing any sources. If you've got sources to cite that can back up the assertions in the article, it's well past time that you provide them. Otherwise, it goes in the trash can.
