Spellings[edit]

I don't know which is correct, but there are three different spellings of Fleckerl/fleckle/fleckel in this page.

A Google count shows 3690 hits for "fleckle", 248 for "flekerl", 1350 (many in Turkish) for "flekle", 2000 for "fleckel", and 33100 for "fleckerl". So, in the interest of consistency, I'm going to change this article to "fleckerl" throughout (uncapitalised, even if it's from German, unless it's someone's name).—Dah31 (talk) 03:11, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
... and 146 for "fleckeryll".—Dah31 (talk) 03:22, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The many hits for "fleckle" are probably mostly people who just don't know better. It does indeed sound more like that the way it's regularly pronounced on Strictly Come Dancing. I'm guessing they don't quite pronounce it right.... -- Smjg (talk) 13:44, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
