The result of this discussion was to merge into Scarlet (color)#Flame. Slon02 (talk) 01:21, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As we recently saw at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thistle (color), Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CG Red and similar recent AfD's, many of these color stubs aren't notable enough to have their own articles, and should instead be redirected/merged into larger articles. I propose redirecting this article to Scarlet (color)#Flame, where it already exists with almost all of the content. Before redirecting, we could save the sourced bit about the first recorded use of flame as a color name and put it into that section. However, I don't think that this color name is notable enough for its own article, and propose that it be redirected to a larger list of similar colors.--Slon02 (talk) 15:46, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have no objection whatsoever if you want to merge this color into the article into Scarlet (color). Keraunos (talk) 23:35, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Please be sure to import the image of burning flames. You might want to make the image a little smaller. Keraunos (talk) 23:38, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note: There is a discussion being held here about whether to merge minor colors into articles on the physical objects that they represent or into color-list articles.--Slon02 (talk) 22:58, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
