The Club has typically identified 1929 as its founding date, as that is when it was incorporated as the Figure Skating Club of Minneapolis. I chose to emphasize 1921 however, because that is when the entity came together as a single club and became one of the seven founding members of the United States Figure Skating Association. At that time the Club used the Twin City Figure Skating Club name, and it's not clear if the club was legally incorporated under that name at that time. With the 100th anniversary of US Figure Skating approaching in 2021, and with FSC of Minneapolis one of the six remaining founders, it seems most appropriate to draw on that date, as 1929 is more a legal footnote.
