COI declaration[edit]

I am a Field and Game Australia (FGA) member and shoot clays at FGA ranges with my son on at least once a month. I hunt and train my dog on the wetlands owned by FGA from time to time.

I agree with the {{peacock}} tag and plan to improve this page so that the tag can be removed. The tag was left by HiLo48, and I would appreciate their appraisal of my work once I have completed it. It will take some time, and I mention them here as a reminder to myself. I will leave it up to someone else to remove the tag. 8==8 Boneso (talk) 23:29, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Missing citations tag added[edit]

I have added a {{missing citations}} tag today. This page is in very poor shape and requires a massive amount of citations to verify the content. Personally I believe that much of the content is correct. I am wading through the article searching for references, and cleaning up the references that are already there. Please consider my work and perhaps leave a note on this talk page before deleting any incited content of concern. 8==8 Boneso (talk) 10:05, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Template:R for citations[edit]

@Find bruce: I note that you changed the inline citations in one section from Template:R and stated in your edit summary that you tidied up the references. The references are cited using Template:R for the whole article for consistency Wikipedia:Citing sources. If you are not happy with the way references are cited on this page please leave a message here so that we can discuss the issue and reach a consensus prior to making any changes. I have returned the citations to their original form without changing the text you edited. 8==8 Boneso (talk) 07:15, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Boneso: If you look at the documentation for Template:R you will see that "References using {{r}} and references using <ref> can coexist on the same page." For a simple application {{R|YYAC}} is exactly the same result as <ref name="YYAC"/> so it doesn't matter which is used. As they are in this application identical, if it makes you happy to use one rather than the other I am not going to interfere. Find bruce (talk) 21:43, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks @Find bruce: I will be doing a power of work on this page. Most of the references will be in print and not easily accessible online. In such cases the {{R}} template provides flexibility for quotes and page numbers to make the reference easier to find without the need to cite the same source over and over again. It also eases my OCD ;). Thanks for your consideration. If you are planning on doing some work on the page I would love to team up with you. You might be able to assist with a references for the "Advocacy of shooters' rights" section. Most references do not support the text in the section, and much of the text is un-cited. My ability to search legal text is limited. 8==8 Boneso (talk) 03:26, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
