genre in lead

Concerning Krj373's revert of my edit to this, why is rock preferable to hardcore punk as a lead genre? Hardcore is the only genre included in the infobox, and is sourced on the band's page. If no explanation is given, I'll revert this back.--MASHAUNIX 18:17, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
