Orphaned references in Ferdinand (film)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Ferdinand (film)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "VarietyReview":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:40, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

Could someone please add a plot line to the film, now that it is in theaters? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.126.255.116 (talk) 19:41, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

When it comes on Blu-ray and DVD, I want 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment do the English closed captioning or subtitles to be the same as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. — Preceding unsigned comment added by XLS20 (talkcontribs) 15:32, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Soundtrack[edit]

Is there a source for the track list of the soundtrack release? I can only find references to a 6 track version, which does not include "Monster (Korean Version)" or "The Prayer." (https://www.amazon.com/Ferdinand-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B076MMX2K4 and https://open.spotify.com/album/7JCNm5gXgKMKWrNtnYezXu for example).

Ferdinand[edit]

Ferdinand has a sequel that is coming out in December this year. Shouldn't this information be added to page? Maxsteele1986 (talk) 04:18, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to have fallen by the wayside. As of early 2021, I don't see any mention in reliable news sources about an upcoming sequel.Writethisway (talk) 17:50, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Current word count [citation needed]; reverting 3 edits[edit]

The phrase Ferdinand becomes the first bull to "win" a bullfight by being himself may incorrectly imply another bull "won" a bullfight by not being himself.

Raf, Ferdinand's father before his death in the bullfights is still Ferdinand's father even after death.

The film was followed by the final film being Spies in Disguise on December 25, 2019. This sentence is unclear, and if i understand what it's trying to say, it's not really relevant to this article. If this tidbit does merit inclusion, consider rewriting it: Ferdinand was the second to last film Blue Sky Studios released, with the final film being Spies in Disguise, released December 25, 2019. (The two stories are unrelated to each other.) ((i assume they're unrelated; i haven't seen Spies in Disguise yet, but i'll be very surprised if the films are related.))

Ferdinand (film)#Plot says <!--Per WP:FILMPLOT, plot must be more than 400 and less than 700 words. Current word count is 696.-->

  • How many articles have this kind of note?
  • How many people edit a plot section without seeing or updating that word count?
  • How many people do a word count that does not account for pipe links? (For example, the first sentence of the Plot section includes [[domestic cattle|calves and bulls]]--3 words of the Plot section, shown as 5 words if you Edit or View source, and, when i copy-paste the phrase into Microsoft Word to use its Word Count function, the Word Count says 4, as the spellcheck interprets cattle|calves as one word.)
