I've seen it suggested that Felice is/was the sister of Diane Taylor, of Love Unlimited. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:57, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Felice Taylor was a stage name.[edit]

Hello Sir, In answer to your specific question referring to Felice Taylor's sister being in Love Unlimited I'm not sure but The Sweets which included Felice and her sisters Darlene & Norma certainly worked with Barry White in the mid sixties releasing two 45s. Felice Taylor's birth name was Florain Corella Flanagan. Taylor was probably a stage name. Her brothers Jerry & Charles Flanagan wrote the Valiant single sides including the rather lovely 'Rich Girl'. She did not provide lead on The Sweets 45s. You may very well be right..... However.... is there a reliable source that agrees with you? Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:37, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PS:... hmm....... Same birth date, different year, "right" name. And Florain C Flanagan, age 17, married Johnny B Taylor in 1960. Some other sources like this give the spelling of her first name as Florine. Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:04, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PPS: I've got enough information now to think that the article can be updated, so I've done so. Better sources would be preferred, of course. Ghmyrtle (talk) 22:02, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
While I'm not going to revert changes apparently made by family members - other to remove private information on the names of family members, in accordance with normal policy - I'd like to point out that the official record of her birth gives her name as Florine, not Florain.
