Not Race for the Case[edit]

Feast or Fired has not become Race for the Case, or as the Twitter source erroneously named it, Chase for the Case. Per Impact Wrestling's official Facebook account.

"This is The First Ever RACE FOR THE CASE Match in Impact Wrestling history. If you secure a case you head to the reveal ceremony and hope for Number 1 as each case holds a number. 1, 2, 3 and 4. The Number 1 Case is an opportunity at ANYTHING, however once a champion is challenged he or she can't be challenged again in 2 weeks at Open Fight Night!"

Completely different concept from Feast or Fired. It's described as a first match of it's type, rather than a continuation of Feast or Fired, cases do not hold specific title shots, there is no pink slip and they can only be used on Open Fight Night. Literally the the three things that make "Feast or Fired", "Feast or Fired" are the briefcases have title shots, a pink slip and you can cash in the case at any time. Race for the Case has none of that. It's like renaming a all ladder matches "Money in the Bank" because the wrestlers have to climb a ladder to retrieve an object. Race for the Case, has no title shots, no pink slip and you can only make a call out on an Open Fight Night, where it doesn't even have to be for a championship. Again, that is literally nothing like the Feast or Fired concept. That is why it should remain in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling tournaments until they have more Race for the Case matches, it can get it's own page.Hellboy42 (talk) 01:40, 21 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Comment[edit]

If the things that make this match unique are no longer involved, and the only thing similar is the fact there are briefcases on poles. I don't think it can be considered the same type of match. CommentI'm surprised this article has so far been considered encyclopedic :/. Normally RFC have a clear question. It seems the question here is "Move or Merge with Race for the Case" vs. "Oppose". I would then from my very basic understanding "weak oppose" the move/merge, as they seem similar but different brands. I took the liberty of sorting the RFC into media and soc.--User:Dwarf Kirlston - talk 04:02, 21 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
