Edits and reverts[edit]

The Fazzt race team is attempting to update this page but Drdisque keeps reverting to their version which is no longer valid. We would like to proceed with an update of this page without getting into an editing war. Can we please work together on this?

Thank you. PatC (Tagliani77) from the FAZZT Race team Oct 19 18:29 ET --Tagliani77 (talk) 22:31, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As per WP:COI, representatives of or those associated with the team should not be editing its article. -Drdisque (talk) 22:40, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Understood. I went over all the guidelines and respect the protocol but I was trying to add more update information and statistics and take out inaccuracies. Not trying to spew propoganda. Just trying to add current and updated information. Oct 20 2010 --Tagliani77 (talk) 13:01, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have now made a few minor changes to the text (an R&D facility is planned but does not yet exist in Mtl) and include updated info and article reference for the change in management and departure of Freudenberg & his ownership group. I have also added a 2010 stats box. I hope you find these changes reasonable. I am maintaining a neutral tone and all the requirements outlined in the guidelines. I hope you'll find this helpful and unbiased. We just want to be sure all the information is accurate.

"Closeness to a subject does not mean you're incapable of being neutral. However, it may incline you towards some bias. You may either submit proposed edits on the talkpage of the article, or, if editing directly, be sure you closely adhere to relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography; and that you declare your interest on the talkpage."

Thanks for working with us on this. --Tagliani77 (talk) 14:57, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, your most recent edits are fine, other than the results template as that's just for driver pages. If/when we make an IndyCar team template this article will get one. My primary concern with your earlier edits were that they were removing large chunks of information with no explanation - that's not viewed too kindly here and is usually viewed as vandalism or an attempt to introduce bias to the article. -Drdisque (talk) 15:39, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Didn't have any intention of erasing large chunks... just hadn't finish editing yet. Not trying to introduce any bias, just verifiable updated information. FYI Jason Priestly and Rubicon no longer part of ownership group at all. --Tagliani77 (talk) 16:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
