  • Depending on how you transliterate, it could be Ecchuu, Etchuu, Etchu, Ecchu, Ettyuu... Etchu has been used on historical sources and was taken as sort of the default. Generally you would rarely transliterate "chi + (small) yu" as 'chiyu' but rather 'chu' to reflect that it's a single syllable -- that's why the 'yu' is printed smaller in kana.
