I'm suprised that this entry includes only a dry discussion of a seemingly normal town in Florida, considering the town was founded in the 1890s by Cyrus Reed Teed as the home of his hollow-earth cult. I'm not competent to write it myself, but somebody should.

Why is this place described as a college town in the intro? For the sake of comparison, I pulled up 3 other college towns on wikipedia; College Station, TX; West Lafeyette, IN; and State College, PA. Each of them has at least 50% of their population between 18-24. Estero is less than 5%. I live in Estero. Agreed, there are no colleges in Estero, and there is no source cited. Removed. Air (talk) 22:36, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
