CDC guidelines[edit]

What about a potential user who lives in France, or Australia? The extensive quotation of United States-centric guidelines is not appropriate. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 20:42, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Julietdeltalima, Anyone who has access to guidelines from other national authorities is welcome to expand the article. Until then US guidelines are the best we have got, and you will probably find a lot of commonality. I agree that there is more direct quotation than there should be, but US government publications tend to be PD which is useful to the lazy or unskilled editor. Feel free to rewrite them if you feel sufficiently strongly about it. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 09:28, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal for topic overlap with Escape set[edit]

There is a lot of topic overlap with Escape set. Should they be merged? If so I think escape respirator may be the primary topic, but it is not clear, and definitions may vary depending on whose you use. Construcive and reasoned comments and suggestions invited. Cheers, · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 09:35, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discuss:

  • I am fairly sure that a merge with redirect/s would be the right way to deal with these articles, but not yet sure what the title should be. Three possibilities are:
    Escape respirator,
    Escape set,
    Escape breathing apparatus.
I lean towards Escape breathing apparatus as it is probably technically more correct over a wider range of regions and industries. If there are no comments within a week I will probably just go ahead an do it. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 09:43, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No objections and no comments, so I will merge and move to Escape breathing apparatus when I get around to it. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 02:09, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Merge done. · · · Peter Southwood (talk): 04:24, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
