No, but in this case Erik is one of the world leaders in algorithmic research. He is no mere professor, he is moving into the top class, certainly.
Not French descent[edit]

Notability[edit]
It's clear that Demaine is a very important guy at MIT and in the field of computer science; however, the article currently gives barely any indication at all of his contributions to the field, i.e. why he's notable enough to garner an article here. Acadia University[edit]
I've been told that Erik Demaine attended Acadia University (in Wolfville, Nova Scotia) for a little bit. I have no clue if it's true, my searches returned nothing. Anyone else know anything about this? Dideler (talk) 08:05, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
