I will review this article.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 06:38, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He is, I'm stuck in two other reviews as well so give me a few days. Thanks Secret account 14:11, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also find some 2012 baseball previews with mentions of this guy. I can't imaging sports periodicals don't have something to say about him.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:01, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Has he been on any interesting covers? If so see Jeremy_Lin#.22Linsanity.22.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:04, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • P.S. forgive me for comparing him to Lin, but if he is being compared to Bo Jackson he might be on some important baseball previews or something. I never heard of the guy before chancing upon this article so I don't know what is out there.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:23, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Basketball is usually way more over-hyped then baseball, like Lin for example so Hosmer wouldn't meet that criteria of getting multiple SI covers and such. But there's still many other publications that covered him so I will try to add the most important, but after I finish with the Curt Roberts GA review. Secret account 19:56, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • I recall an up and coming Royals phenom Clint Hurdle being on the cover of SI, but I agree, that Hosmer probably wasn't. The Borders in my neighborhood is closed so I have not seen any baseball preview covers. Don't know who is important anymore. If ARod or Pujols is no longer the important cover boy, I probably would not recognize the person who is. However, I would not even recognize Matt Kemp or Clayton Kershaw and I consider myself a Dodger fan. I think I have lost touch with baseball. Who is the Dodger's closer? I could not even guess who was the Cubs or WSox opening day starter here in Chicago this year.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 20:24, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Both sides agreed with a contract ten minutes before the signing dateline for drafted players on August 15, 2008." is ungramattical. Change with to to.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 17:59, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Minor leagues

Been an over stressful week at work, nearly all my edits the past week came from an IPad in which I have at work, I will fix it by the concerns by this weekend. Secret account 18:04, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • I mentioned the second rookie of the month award, let me know of any more concerns so me or Muboshgu can take care of it. Thanks Secret account 05:34, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm slowly working though your concerns, I did some early life expansion today, and I'm going to look at another source or two before finishing tomorrow or Monday. I will also do a quick expansion of the 2012 season, though not a game by game mention as it's frowned upon in our guidelines, and in WP:BASEBALL in particular. Thanks Secret account 05:56, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • 2012 needn't be extensive. Game-by-game would be overkill. I just ant to know what his current status is and whether he played opening day.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 06:53, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think I took care of all your concerns, it might need a minor copyediting but that's about it, let me know of other concerns you have so I could take care of it quickly. Thanks Secret account 05:29, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

? Secret account 05:12, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll join in the editing of this article by tomorrow. I'll see if there are any changes I think should be made. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:23, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes my schedule gotten much more busier lately, I"ll see if I could take care of concerns as well, but it looks like I might become inactive for a while. Secret account 20:18, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Did File:Andy Fletcher, Vladimir Guerrero, Eric Hosmer.jpg get added later to the article. I don't know how I missed this before. It also needs {{personality rights}}.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:16, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I've never heard of that template before. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:46, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for all the hard work. This article is quite improved. I am going to PASS it now.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 07:22, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar[edit]

"Eric John Hosmer (born October 24, 1989) is an American League first baseman that plays for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has played for the Royals since making his MLB debut on May 6, 2011."

Should be "who" plays not "that" plays

Addressed this by just taking out "that plays" for a simpler sentence. Thanks. EricEnfermero (Talk) 12:46, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

On February 17, 2017, Hosmer signed an 8-year contract with the San Diego Padres worth an average of $18 million annually making it the largest monetary commitment in Padres history. Rohr00 (talk) 05:14, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
