Wouldn't he be Greek-Libyan considering he was born in Libya?

Length of year

The statement "He calculated that there are 365 days in a year and that every fourth year there would be 366 days" can't possibly be right. The length of the year and the need for a leap year were known to the Egyptians (among others). Unfortunately, I don't have time to do the research right now, but this statement should be revised or deleted when the article is improved. Wgrommel (talk) 13:19, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

Historian Marcianus?

The sentence: "Unfortunately, his Geography has been lost to history, but fragments of the work can be pieced together from other great historians like Pliny, Polybius, Strabo, and Marcianus." leads to emperor Marcian, who I don't think is a historian. This material is already duplicated at Earth's_circumference#Eratosthenes, and that seems to me like the best place for it. I suggest we remove most of it here and main article link from here to there. Danstronger (talk) 13:22, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
