Rename[edit]

I suggest renaming this article to English Electric diesel engines and expanding it to include all the K, RK and SV engines. Biscuittin (talk) 14:41, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"4SRKT Mark I" - not possible?[edit]

Under the Great Britain sub-heading, this article implies that the Class 201 BR DEMUs (500hp) used a "4SRKT Mark I" engine -- because it says that the class 73 [and classes 205 & 207] have the 4SRKT MkII with a rating of 600hp. Given the description in the Specification section, which states that the 4RK engine was available with a supercharger only if it was the MkII engine, this seems internally inconsistent. In any case, I know that the Class 201 had the 4SRKT Mark II engine: it was a difference in the specification of the Napier turbochargers fitted to each, (MS100 vs MS200), which accounted for the difference in power output between the Class 201 and the Classes 205/207/73. 86.140.232.61 (talk) 16:12, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
