Angry German Kid

I'm pretty sure I've seen the "Angry German Kid" before - as far as I remember, it is basically a cutout from a "Nanny"-Style TV production. Is there any proof this originated in 2006? --93.194.255.189 (talk) 18:33, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

This article, dated November 29, 2006, tells a lot. Translated, the intro says:
"Nothing has moved us more the last days than the horrible madman in Emsdetten. The whole media landscape in Germany took up the issue but misunderstood it several times."
Another paragraph says:
"Focus-TV and Pro7 got it all wrong, something which already began in the introduction of their news item, and something which reached its climax in the video contribution "Focus-TV killer games and the madman from Emsdetten", in which they, among others, showed a contribution from "Leopold", who was supposedly secretly filmed by his father. Leopold was an internet addict and was brought to a clinic because of this. The video contribution of the addicted Leopold is dramatically shown in the background."
So the video *was* broadcast on German television. I'm not sure what the "Nanny-Style TV production" you refered to is, but perhaps this is what you meant? During the interview in that article, Leopold said that he did gave Focus-TV permission to broadcast his video. But he did not know that they were going to present it as if it was real. The part about the "Angry German Kid" has to be removed. The video has nothing to do with the shooting. The guy in it was famous in Germany in early 2006 as "Der echte Gangster" (The real gangster) as he called himself. He created several comedy videos in which he acted like a "gangster" and uploaded them on some funvideo sites. The video we are talking about is also from that time and long before the shooting in Emsdetten. Hmm, you're right. The article just seemed to imply that the Angry German Kid video was inspired by the Emsdetten shooting, but I see now that that's impossible. Just for the record: here is the paragraph before it was removed. Cheers, Face 17:53, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
