The emblem contains no distinctive features to have an article of its own[edit]

Cordyceps-Zombie, this article should be redirected to the State Emblem of India as the Emblem of Assam doesn't have any distinctive features distinguishing itself from the Emblem of India. Merely a name around the emblem and name of state/government doesn't count since various governmental offices in India (Indian Embassies/High Commissions, Union Ministries, Offices of the District Magistrates etc.) also have the similar seals/stamps with the name of their office encircled around the Emblem of India. — Hemant DabralTalk 01:05, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback. The only reason I created an article for Assam was to also include details about the former emblem of Assam Province of British India and to include a gallery of symbols used by the autonomous districts within the state. If you feel that that those are not sufficient reasons for keeping this page then I have no objection to it being changed to a redirect. Cordyceps-Zombie (talk) 13:06, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cordyceps-Zombie, A section for the Emblem of Assam Province can be added to the article page of Assam Province and the info could be merged there. Although, Fowler&fowler informed me that he'll be removing these relief seal images from the article related to the British Indian provinces.

As for the seals of autonomous district councils of India, they are not notable enough to have an article of their own as per WP:NORG and WP:GNG. But if the need arises, a section for the seal can be added to their respective article pages. — Hemant DabralTalk 17:00, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
