digitization project[edit]

I plan on creating a section about the current digitization project currently being done by the Dalhousie Archive Jclaire5152 (talk) 19:19, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds interesting and relevant, thank you, feel free to go ahead :-) --C.Koltzenburg (talk) 19:06, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Jclaire5152: thank you for the additions. May I advise you on the following: Wikipedia is no PR website for archival projects. Therefore, maybe shorten the added information to make it fit in smoothly with the overal frame and style of the entry as a whole. E.g., there are too many blank lines compared with the rest of the entry, but I also find it is too detailed in places. From my point of view, since some this information will be available in detail to those who have decided to want to use the archival material, it is not relevant enough here (in a general biographical article). If the information can be found on the webpage referenced, make sure your text does not constitute any copyright violation. Btw, a quote needs a reference by itself. However, not all of the information considered relevant by you seems to be available under the URL given, so, if my impression is correct, other references are needed, best with a date. Thanks, --C.Koltzenburg (talk) 15:34, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've deleted the questionable parts, rather than fixing, as I wanted to avoid making it too detailed. This is one of the first things I've edited, so hopefully it looks better now... Jclaire5152 (talk) 00:12, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome back, and my congrats, Jclaire5152! Actually, I do not usually answer in such detail and I hope you found my arguments convincing :-) If there is anything else you would like to improve, in this article or elsewhere, please feel free to go ahead. Drop me a line on my talk page if you feel like it. Cheers, --C.Koltzenburg (talk) 17:25, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a typo?[edit]

  • At the age of 59, in 1977, Mann Borgese turned Dalhousie University Professor of Political Science by invitation ....

If not, what does it mean? -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 21:06, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
