Hello! I will be reviewing this article. --Cerebellum (talk) 10:10, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Lead: Can you please expand the lead to include more information? You can find some ideas for how to improve at MOS:LEAD.
  • References: What does reference 18 say? If possible/convenient, perhaps you could translate this to English?
  • References: Not being familiar with arabic-language sources, what makes almoajam.org, alThawra, and alJarida reliable sources? (I'm not suggesting that they are unreliable - just requesting clarification.)
  • References: the work attests of the young poet's inexperience but also of his promising talent. This statement should have a citation. There are also a few others that I've added citation needed tags to. Aside from the lead, this is your biggest problem.
  • Prose: This was a little rough, but I've done some copy editing.

Overall, this is an excellent article, and is very close to being a GA. The only problems are the referencing and the lead section. I am placing this on hold for seven days to allow you to fix those issues. Thank you! --Cerebellum (talk) 11:01, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, thank you for taking the time to review the article. I will be addressing the issues and answering your questions within the set time frame, best regards. Eli+ 13:34, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, first off I have never used such dense citing even when i wrote my FA. So most of the lines tagged were fixed except in 2 cases; and still im not convinced with the necessity to cite every sentence's source. That being said, i worked on the lead a bit, i think the main interesting issues are there now. as for the refs, i translated ref 18 and turned it to a note. The cited arabic publications you asked about:

  • Almoajam is an old word that literally translates as “the dictionary”. The website is run by a literary society and you can find all contributors here [1], most of which have literature doctorates. The website is a repository for information pertaining to Arabic literary figures.
  • Althawra is well known Syrian political newspaper that publishes cultural segments. The newspaper is issued by al-wehda publishing (مؤسسة الوحدة للصحافة والطباعة والنشر). It was first issued in 1963 and is state-run, so the political news are definitely not reliable but I also had my doubts concerning cultural articles that’s why I have corroborated the questionable data used in the article by other sources
  • AlJarida is a relatively new Kuwaiti newspaper (2007), but the writer “Michel Meaiki” is an established Lebanese journalist with countless contributions (google "ميشال معيكي").

Thanks again for your time. Eli+ 02:08, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent, everything seems good now. Passing as GA. --Cerebellum (talk) 12:28, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
