Wrong name[edit]

Isn't the name of this article wrong? I believe the correct full name of EBS is Electronic Broking Services. Just try a Google search. The first result is from EBS's own web site. Unless there are any objections, I will rename this article. NFH 11:08, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

EBS Spot replaced by BrokerNet[edit]

EBS spot has been replaced by the BrokerNet platform. The previous SPOT product was based on legacy hardware, software and infrastructure (i.e.: MicroVAX for the deal feed client and original Pentium-based PCs for the trading workstations, OS/2 as the operating system and DECNet for the network). The new BrokerNet is based on Pentium 4 workstations running Windows XP as the OS, the network is all TCP/IP connected to EBS through MPLS (in most cases) and the deal feed client also runs on Windows now.

This upgrade was required by all EBS clients worldwide at no extra cost. At the time of the upgrade, clients that had EBS Spot willing to obtain new products (such as EBS Prime, for example) were told they must first upgrade to the BrokerNet in order to proceed in addnig new products. --Pinnecco 14:51, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed that EBS still reffers to it as "SPOT", though. But if you do a search on Google for "EBS BrokerNet" you will see what I am talking about" --Pinnecco 14:59, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
