Essentially the most common EV consists of a small compact (donor) car with stick shift, where all gas or diesel components are taken out, and replaced with batteries, electric motor, charger, relays, speed control, and gauges. The hardware usually costs around $8000. and the labor to put it all together, if one cannot do it ones self is approximately $2000. These are AVERAGES. More speed, more performance, more range…. costs more. Performance of such an average car, would be highway speeds up to 70 mph, and range at more modest speeds of up to 50 miles on a single charge. Might not sound like much, but it could replace HALF of all GAS and Diesel cars which start up their engines each and every day here in King County. And every one would get to work on time, and no one would run short of charge before returning home at night. Charging would cost ONE FIFTH of what the average car owner pays for GAS for the same average daily commute !

Orphaned references in Electric vehicle

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Electric vehicle's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

False information based on nothing more than a tweet

A blatant falsehood can be found in the History#Reintroduction section. It states that China launched the 1st bi-articulated bus in the world last April, which is obviously false seeing that those have been around for decades already. --SwissTHX11384EB (talk) 12:23, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Electric vehicle definitions section

I added the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_vehicle#Electric_vehicle_definitions section. The intention is to make it clear what the official definitions of electric vehicles are. I am finding more and more creative vehicle manufacturers passing off diesel hybrids as something more advanced. The only link I could find (after a lot of searching) was the one linked to but if anyone can find something more sophisticated I think that may be more beneficial. My current experience is that a particular hybrid bus is being passed off as a range-extended electric bus when it is solely powered by diesel, they define REEV as only supplementing the plug in power. Hello, Due to my conflict of interest, I cannot create this article myself. I am requesting that an independent editor create the article instead. It's about Ecocar Motors, an EV hybrid US manufacturer, that is a young enterprise. I have the article ready and well written, according to Wikipedia guidelines.
