Removal of content[edit]

In these edits I removed some content including awards. The community tends to prefer that we only include notable awards, because there are thousands of faceless award mills in the world that only exist to make money giving awards. See WP:FILMCRITICLIST. There is no indication that the Digital Entertainment Award or International Iconic Awards are notable awards or given out by notable organisations. I also removed the Golden Patel Awards, not just because it was a misspelling of Golden Petal Awards, but looking at an early, deleted version of the Golden Petal Awards article, it appears the Golden Petal Awards are an in-house award that praises shows and people on its own network. Meaning, it is an inherently promotional award with no special prestige attached to it. A while back we had a discussion at WT:ICTF about the Star Parivaar Awards, another in-house award, and consensus was to exclude this. A similar argument might be made for deleting the Zee Rishtey awards, which appears to be yet another in-house award, but the only reason why I did not, is because the winners are (according to the Zee TV article) chosen by viewers, which dilutes the self-congratulatory nature just a bit. However I don't know that Zee Rishtey would really survive a thorough community discussion. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:28, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
