What's the difference[edit]

The difference between holomorphic and non-holomorphic Eisenstein series should be explained in the article. Ulner 22:01, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Category error[edit]

The field should perhaps be Number theory. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.33.233.238 (talk) 06:51, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's the range[edit]

Please mention what the summation variables range over in the basic definition: integers or natural numbers (my guess would be integers). Marc van Leeuwen (talk) 15:23, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nature of black[edit]

The black areas on the picture are supposed to represent the region on which the real/ imaginary part of G_6 is zero. Isn't there a problem with the fact that G_6 should be holomorphic?

The black area is not zero, but negative.LamaMaddam (talk) 13:54, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

Are there anyone here who knows anything about the history of Eisenstein series or even why they are named after him? Felixsj (talk) 15:03, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
