It is often stated that Ein Kessel Buntes was intended to attact viewers away from West German TV but surely the fact that it was only broadcast on average every two months somewhat defeated this objective and viewers were switching back to Western channels as soon as the show was over ? At most it only stopped people watching ARD news six evenings per year. They probably watched ZDF news on those nights instead. 213.40.112.15 (talk) 20:06, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
