– Appears to be the primary topic, ahead of Edmonton Aviators (who used the name "Edmonton F.C." for a few weeks in 2004), and FC Edmonton (who were not known as "Edmonton F.C." in any reliable sources.) 162 etc. (talk) 19:43, 14 April 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. – MaterialWorks (contribs) 20:07, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose I view this more as a WP:NOPRIMARYTOPIC. I disagree with the claim that FC Edmonton was never referred to as Edmonton FC. While the correct name was always with the FC in front, it was very common to see the club misnamed with the FC afterwards, for example 1, 2 even in these two the articles switched between using the FC before and after (since it was a common error) 3 and 4, 5. Given the fact it was a common misnaming (particularly by fans of opposing teams, which is who would be searching the page), and the views for the English club are minimal, I feel Edmonton FC is best to remain as a disambiguation page. (I know page views aren't always accepted as an indication of primary topic-ness, but a daily average of 4 for the English club and 3 for the Aviators - both who were Edmonton FC at times - doesn't scream primary [and 190 for FCE]) RedPatch (talk) 13:48, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Relisting comment: Relisting to get more participation and a clearer consensus, due to info brought up by RedPatch. – MaterialWorks (contribs) 20:07, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - I don't think I have seen many identifiers by country of team names which share the same as others. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 21:24, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: There are many such cases of exactly that: Aurora FC (Canada), CD Guadalajara (Spain), Pacific FC (Mexico), Altitude FC (Belize), Altitude FC (Canada), Unity FC (England), Windsor FC (Australia), Unity F.C. (Ghana), etc. to name a few. That is actually the preferred disambiguation method. RedPatch (talk) 23:04, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have never seen those pages on Wikipedia before, obviously I have not looked far enough into it. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 09:16, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support There seems to be good logic here in my opinion. Govvy (talk) 09:02, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - I often agree with RedPatch, but I'm just not seeing it here. I'm sure some got it wrong in local media, I never noticed it - despite attending an FC Edmonton game myself (I'd guess that RedPatch attended that game too!). Perhaps if the team still existed, it might make sense, but now the team doesn't exist, the adding an extra second or so for someone coming in off the wrong name isn't a big deal. Though perhaps someone should check all the links to that page. Nfitz (talk) 23:41, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - i feel like the supposed confusion doesnt even really exist. Edmonton Aviators having the name for a few months in 2004 feels so irrelevant you coudl just delete the disambiguation and have a note at the top of FC Edmonton with a note saying theyre sometimes incorrectly referred to as fcMuur (talk) 01:03, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose the 1950-1973 London club is so obscure, and Edmonton is the capital city of the Canadian province of Alberta. So (England) is helpful. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:11, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - No clear primary topic. SounderBruce 23:01, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
