Map may be embeddable[edit]

THe map appears to be from a US Federal Government source. That usually means that it is in the pubic domaiin (although the trademarks may not be). You should double check this, but if it is, you should upload it,or a modified versioin of it, to WIkipedia, as internal content is always preferable to external links. --David Woolley 10:16, 19 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy section removed[edit]

I removed the "Controversy" section per WP:BLP. There were no sources cited at all. First, to have a section named "Controversy", you need reliable sources characterizing something as controversial. We can't just say something is a controversy. There has to be notable opinion that it is controversial. The comment she made also needs to be reliably sourced, as well as the claims about her critics. So that's probably three (maybe only two) reliable sources that are required before that section can go back in. Crockspot 01:32, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(Different) Controversy section returned[edit]

I was alerted to an article about suspected improper edits of this page. Attempted a rough paste of the section that had been removed by looking at last revision before user boysinclair's revision chain. Someone please confirm I didn't miss anything and make it prettier if necessary. Also, if a higher power could lock the page against edits for a bit, or just stick on his/her/its watch list, that would be nice, too. BTW, section included cites and was about a 2010 scandal, so is *not* in conflict with Crockspot's notice above, dating to 2007. --Markzero (talk) 05:40, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NOTE: I just tried to get some information on this and found all supporting links in the three footnotes in the section to be dead ends. Whether the Dallas newspaper changed their retrieval system or not, I don't know. Perhaps someone could check with them and correct the links. The only information I could seem to come up with is the interview at this link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6s4qpmjJUE, which does have some facts. In a tangentially related note: I started HOURS AGO to edit the following section to give it references as well as a more WP:NPOV tone, but I had to get back to work before I could get anywhere looking for material. Could someone else please start tackling the campaign-flyer tone of the final sentences of the following paragraph? There may well be newspaper items or other legit references to demonstrate that Johnson's 2012 campaign was described by outsiders as particularly successful, but at present there are no such references in crucial sentences of this text:

In 1992, she decided to retire from the Texas Senate to run for the newly created Texas' 30th congressional district. She defeated Republican nominee Lucy Cain 72%-25%.^[1] In 1994, she defeated Lucy Cain again 73%-26%.^[2] In 1996, she won re-election to a third term with just 55% of the vote, the worst election performance of her congressional career.^[3] After that, she never won re-election with less than 72% of the vote. In May, 2012 Johnson faced two opponents in the Democratic Primary, and it was thought that they would present her first serious challenge since being elected. Johnson won a landslide victory crushing both opponents, one heavily funded and the other with good name recognition. In the end they were no match for Johnson's record of achievement and popularity with voters.

Blanking[edit]

We had a blanking incident again today - this one stemming from the Washington D.C. area. I've restored the affected section. Keep in mind that this could be whitewashing - or it could be someone trying to make the subject look guilty of whitewashing. Don't kid yourself, it was obviously one of Johnson's minions from her congressional office. They're doing all they can to keep this crime out of the news, and they're going to delete it from wikipedia over and over again. Park on Moon Grants[edit]

(from fox news) It also opens the door for corporate donations and contributions from foreign governments to maintain the proposed park.

All i have to ask is (1) which political insider get's this unwatchable grant money and (2) if the Chinese caputure our flag on the moon if asking them nicely will get it back!
