Merge Eckert projection articles[edit]
I do not think each of the Eckert projections should have its own article. The only one that’s notable is Eckert IV. There isn’t enough encyclopædic information about each to warrant separate articles. I propose merging them all into one article called “Eckert projections”. Strebe (talk) 00:10, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

The Eckert IV projection is an equal-area pseudocylindrical map projection. The length of polar lines are half that of the equator, and lines of longitude are semiellipses, or portions of ellipses. It was first described by Max Eckert in 1906.Map: Strebe, using Geocart
