School Name[edit]

East Literature Magnet is the official school name. Yes, it is a 5-12 school. But the Full Name is not 'East Literaure Middle and High Magnet School. Terrancee (talk) 03:16, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

This school has a long and storied history as a neighborhood school well before being designated a "magnet school," which was done in large measure to facilitate desegregation efforts.
