Does "the distance to the binary star" mean the distance to the center of gravity of the binary system? Perhaps that could be explained a bit more specifically on the page. Memetics (talk) 23:50, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article Development[edit]

My 4th year project involves choosing a stub article on Wikipedia and expanding it. This will take place over the next couple of months as I gradually add more to the article. If you have any suggestions or spot any mistakes feel free to let me know.

So far I have stated Kepler's 3rd law and I am currently in the middle of deriving Newton's version of this. PWS91 (talk) 14:06, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have decided to delete my work on this article and transfer it to the article title "Visual Binary". I felt this title was more appropriate to the research that I have done so far. - PWS91 (talk) 13:27, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Explain source of error or uncertainty[edit]

It says distance errors can be 5% - Can we explain if/how this relates to errors in the apparent separation, or the orbital period, or the broadness of the mass-luminosity relationship, and not at all about the initial mass estimates ? - Rod57 (talk) 12:57, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
