I don't see why this has to be deleted. It's a game that's been announced, and there are plenty of articles with games that are in development. There are even pictures, and there is a reference showing it exists. Other info can be added too. Give this a chance. Toastypk 22:45, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Simple. It's a CSD A3. Basically, it's a placeholder for the external link. - PMDrive1061 22:46, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But then what does it take for an article like this to get made? The game exists, there's proof, and an article would sooner or later be made for it eventually like all other games. It will grow if people give it time to grow. That's enough to warrant an article. Toastypk 22:49, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course. The game does warrant an article, but it has to be more than a declaratory sentence and external link. That's all I'm trying to point out. Heck, if you can expand it a bit, please go ahead and remove the speedy notice. - PMDrive1061 22:53, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, added a little more content, hope that's enough for now. Toastypk 23:01, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • You da bomb. With all of the game stubs that come in from first-time users, I don't always take the time to look at edit histories. Sorry that I didn't check yours. Regards, --PMDrive1061 23:42, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dr. Mario WiiWare screenshot.jpg[edit]

Image:Dr. Mario WiiWare screenshot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Name[edit]

I thought this game is called "Dr. Mario & Virus Buster". Says so in the Official Nintendo Magazine. --Super Shy Guy Bros. Not shy? 23:47, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • The Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification list it as "Dr. Mario and Germ Buster".[1] Misterkillboy (talk) 09:57, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The ESRB lists the game as "Dr. Mario Wii" http://www.esrb.org/ratings/search.jsp —Preceding unsigned comment added by KevinOrtega (talkcontribs) 00:55, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When I translated the name, I got DR. MARIO & Bacterial Eradication. I realize that extermination is correct as well, but the name isn't a translation of the Japanese original. --MidnightScott (talk) 23:56, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nintendo has always had a habit of changing the names of its games and even consoles (e.g. Nintendo 64 was originally called the Nintendo Ultra 64, the Virtual Boy was originally called Nintendo VR-32.

The main name should be from the main North American release of the game (which I believe it is Dr. Mario Online Rx, as it even says in my own Wii); differences in name in other countries should also be mentioned, provided those titles are what Nintendo, not from any other potentially objectionable authority (including government organizations or bureaus), calls them in other said countries and approves.

Release[edit]

The Nintendo Channel says it comes out on May 12, so we must believe Nintendo since they are the ones releasing the game... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.121.102.73 (talk) 01:23, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For the record the game didn't come out on the 12th. Misterkillboy (talk) 11:09, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
