New, Improved flavor

Article should mention this. After 94 years, they have changed the flavor. IMO, it tastes absolutely horrible. 66.157.103.168 (talk) 09:49, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Update: It seems they may have abandoned the new, improved flavor. I've seen some in the new packaging, with a NBA contest, but it has the old flavor. Anyone know? 74.163.77.119 (talk) 00:48, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Update: Peapod, the online delivery service for Giant, the most popular grocery store for some eastern mid-atlantic states in the United States Of America, just sent us the "new & improved flavor" instead. So evidently it's not dead. This is as of March 9, 2009. And yes, it sucks. Thinner gum, worse consistency, more aspartame flavor, less of the 2 distinct mints in their flavor (if you've ever chewed Spearmint only gum for 50 sticks in a row, then go back to Doublemint, it bcomes pretty apparent that the 2 mints are Peppermint and Spearmint), and STUPID CRYSTALS. It sucks. ClintJCL (talk) 22:56, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

The new flavor was so terrible. It was like chewing a breath mint. So strong that you could't drink anything for a while because it hurts. I hope they change it back because I haven't bought any since last year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.10.124.189 (talk) 07:25, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Yea, after being a lifelong user, I've switched to Orbit! ClintJCL (talk) 19:44, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Why "double"?

Has Wrigley's ever stated what is "double" about this gum? Is it a mixture of spearmint and peppermint that is referred to, or something else? -- 11:25, 19 July 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.226.1.38 (talk)
