"hamei"?[edit]

The article repeatedly uses the term "hamei", which is not an English word. It doesn't even seem to be a Dutch word. Indeed, the only use of "hamei" which seems to be in common usage is in Romanian, to refer to hops plants. Can anyone explain what "hamei" means, and can we find an English term to replace it here?
