Gay Icon Project[edit]

In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effortf fact-checking this information can be expedited. Thank you very much. Logo out of date[edit]

The logo is the old style with the curved VERSACE title. Now it is just a straight line underneath the Medusa. Also, that logo is for the Versace Ceramic Designs section and does not encompass the Versace brand as a whole. Perhaps someone could take a photo of the logo on their timepiece or writing instrument box or indeed any shoe box.

Citing sources[edit]

I've never heard the story of Donatella and her granddad. Can anyone cite a source? --Djkinsella 19:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On her brother Santo Versace's page, it states that their sister Tina died at the age of twelve; but on Donatella's page, it states that Tina died at the age of ten. Brainjelly (talk) 00:38, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Within the subarticle "Heiress to the Throne", the entire content was erased and replaced with information on Allegra Versace in general. Information which should be in article "Allegra Versace". May I remind the user(s) that this is an article on Donatella Versace, not the Versace Group, Giovanni Versace, or Allegra Versace. Such information should be represented in Allegra Versace's article or the Versace Group article.

Furthermore, the article has been reverted to its original quality. Information such as Allegra Versace's fight against anorexia, current schooling, and behavior is not applicable in her mother's article. Please remember this when further additions are made... Also, erasing original encyclopedic content is illegal in Wikipedia standards, cited as Vandalism. Ammendments to the articles are legal.

In past articles (already reverted), extreme cases of vandalism occured, detailing the "death" of Allegra Versace in a dehumanizing manner.

Addiction to plastic surgery?[edit]

Should this be mentioned in the article? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hurricane Angel (talkcontribs) 07:17, 27 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Yes, someone should add a section on this. It's what I came to this page looking for. patniemeyer (talk) 22:54, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

me too. Cramyourspam (talk) 12:39, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article is rigged. To not mention it is vandalism of the truth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.191.211.143 (talk) 15:21, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's certainly odd that there is no reference at all to her cosmetic surgery, given her bizarre appearance going back many years. For most people, especially outside the fashion world, her notability (and even notoriety) derives from this. --Ef80 (talk) 12:37, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Its gotta be sourced... we would need a source talking about it, substantiating it. Deathlibrarian (talk) 13:35, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

17 years later, still no mention! Clearly, her staff is minding the article. BalletForCattle (talk) 15:36, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stubby, basic paragraphs with no inline references yet.

As for importance, she did inherit a lot from her brother but he built the brand.

Also, fair-use image needs to be replaced. Daniel Case 01:52, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Donatella Versace is the younger sister of world-famous fashion designer Gianni Versace. However, she only inherited the brand Versace after the murder of her older brother back in the summer of 1997. Donatella has styled dozens of celebrities from Cindy Crawford to Jennifer Lopez. She has put on numerous shows throughout the Spring/Summer/Fall season and her work is worn all around the world. She has won multiple awards for her fashion work and she is a force to be reckoned with as a woman.
