Dixonville is the only correct name[edit]

Let's not avoid idiocy here. Every sign in the town says "Dixonville". It never was "Dicksonville". The Post Office says "Dixonville". The phone book says "Dixonville". The Census Bureau is not authoritative. Make it "Dixonville" and leave it that way permanently.

Hi. Just so you know, we don't care about "authoritative" names or "official" names for anything. However, per WP:COMMONNAME, I have moved it based on my searches and findings. ~Charmlet -talk- 20:15, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The reason given for the name change to Dicksonville is the authority of the US Census Bureau. "Dixonville" is not merely the common name, it is the only name. 75.247.143.193 (talk) 20:30, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We don't care about "authority". We don't care about what anyone thinks the "only name" is. We care about the common name. ~Charmlet -talk- 15:37, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
