2004 results[edit]

Seeing as there was no redistribution in SA between the 2004 and 2007 elections, how is it that this page says the 2004 2PP was 61.81, yet here it says 63.59? Timeshift (talk) 13:26, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was 61.81 against independent candidate Brian Deegan, who beat Labor into the final round in 2004. In order to show the difference in percentage, the 2007 AEC has used the figure that would have appeared if Labor, rather than Deegan, had made it to that last round. (Similar to what happened in Calare in some ways.) Frickeg (talk) 04:41, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah of course. Silly me. Timeshift (talk) 10:16, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Xenophon, SA Best or Australia Best?[edit]

Since Nick Xenophon is renaming the 'Nick Xenophon Team' to 'Australia Best' (and with the state division being called 'South Australia (SA) Best'), should we change the Party data in the Members table? And if we did, what would we change it to? Australia Best or SA Best?

Keep in mind, 'Australia Best' is obviously the national name of the party, and 'SA Best' is the South Australian state division. The paradox here is that Mayo is in South Australia.

Thoughts? Frey's Fray (talk) 09:34, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not something we have to worry about until it actually happens, fortunately, which it hasn't yet - but having said that, it seems fairly clear that it would be "Australia Best" since this is the federal party we're talking about. There is no paradox. Frickeg (talk) 09:46, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I can find no evidence that the party is not presently named "Nick Xenophon Team". In particular, Sharkie's parliamentary profile uses that name, and The AEC notices don't include a proposal to change the name. Any other name on the members or electorate pages is speculation. The ECSA list doesn't include any relevant party, and John Darley is officially independent. --Scott Davis Talk 12:27, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
