Nitinat and Nitinaht seem to have slightly more usage than Ditidaht in sources, but Ditidaht is the spelling the Ditidaht First Nation is using (see this recent Globe and Mail article and FirstVoices.ca). Any objections to doing this move? Since Ditidaht language already exists as a redirect, an admin will have to do it.

Apparently nothing has been done on this in the last year, but if an admin does happen to come by, I agree that moving the page to Ditidaht is the correct thing to do. That's the name used by speakers and the Ditidaht people, and it's also gaining acceptance in linguistics and elsewhere. Jiashudiwanjin 01:21, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
