Merge?[edit]

A merge with the Dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors article may be a good idea. We don't need two separate articles. --PFHLai (talk) 15:49, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is quite an extensive article, merging would cause WP:UNDUE weight in the main article for now. I don't think a merger would be appropriate. See also: WT:PHARM. --Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 19:25, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with Steven's comment about not merging

with

I had nothing to do with writing or editing either article, but I am a physician who teaches pharmacology in a major US medical school and have discussed them with my students. The first article is outstanding in quality and scope - very useful to both me and my students. The second is skeletal, almost useless, and little more than a redirection page. I also looked at the WP:UNDUE criteria that Steven cites as a reason for not merging them, and I disagree that it would apply to a merged article. Verytas (talk) 17:26, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
