Monotypic or no?[edit]

According to Brown algae#Classification, Discosporangiales contains Choristocarpaceae and Discosporangiaceae.[1][2] Wikispecies also shows two families. @EncycloPetey: says the families are synonymous, but I want to see some references on that.

OK, they were synonymous, but checking Wikispecies and AlgaeBase, it looks as if that situation has changed recently, and the order is no longer monotypic. --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:46, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, glad we could get to the bottom of it. Nessie (talk) 02:06, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
