DA in Double-layer capacitors[edit]

For double-layer capacitors, there are only rare sources for figures of the dielectric absorption voltage. One of it "Sanda Lo, Energy Storage Device: Ultra-capacitor, University of Central Florida, Orlando" [[1]] claims EDLC's have the highest dielectric absorption of all the capacitor types. Perhaps here there is a misinterpretation. Since double-layer capacitors have no dielectric in the true sense, a "dielectric absorption" is hard to imagine. The low mobility of the charge carrier, the ions in the liquid electrolyte aligned with the narrow pore structure of the electrodes leads to very long charging and discharging times. Remaining charge could be the reason for a misinterpretation.

They may have thought that DA was of no interest. d-layer caps are not used in any application where DA would be of interest, either for safety or performance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.25.173.60 (talk) 22:37, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Because I never found any figures for the DA on the data sheets of a lot of manufacturers I deleted any remark and figure regarding EDLC's in this article. --Elcap (talk) 14:11, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reference mess[edit]

The fourth reference looks like a mess, at least at high zoom levels in a web browser.

And why the star in the first reference?

This explanation for DA makes little sense to me. Real dipoles in polymers (for example) do not flip, they bend. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.135.247.203 (talk) 00:43, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
