Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5 – Just like many other titles with band names, "the" should be lowercase, esp. as per WP:MOS. MindsEyeTHPS (talk) 05:16, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, the upper-case 'The' is both part of the title and the name of the group. This was their first album, so using the correct name of the group to introduce the group is appropriate and encyclopedically accurate. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:03, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, it was capitalized to show significance and should be maintained. Nickeleh (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:42, 11 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Result:
Not moved. See consensus below to retain "The" in line with the Wikipedia article. Usage of a colon to separate was suggested and may be addressed in a new RM at editors' discretions. Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5 – Per MOS:THEMUSIC. —Matthew - (talk) 06:37, 12 May 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 15:46, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support The capitalization is not consistent among third-party sources; both "The" and "the" are found. Thus we default to title-case as proposed here. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 03:51, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
fyi: title case vs. sentence case. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'r there 18:35, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Scroll up and you'll see that this same thing was proposed recently, and 100% of the !voters opposed the proposal. The band is called "The Jackson 5" not "Jackson 5". Therefore it's "Diana Ross" and "The Jackson 5" not "Diana Ross" and the "Jackson Five". Dr. Universe (talk) 01:13, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • If there are any sources that agree, the cleanest solution in this type of case is Diana Ross Presents: The Jackson 5. Dekimasuよ! 07:31, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
