Unexpected?[edit]

'In 1959, she was unexpectedly cast by Joan Littlewood as Sally in the Theatre Workshop musical Make Me An Offer...'

She was born in 1928[edit]

The following link to the Free England and Wales Birth Index shows Diana Coupland’s birth as being registered in Leeds in 1928. 1932 is given in her national newspaper obituaries in error.

This is backed-up by her death record which records her birth date as 5 Mar 1928.
