first of 2010[edit]

This appears to be English Wikipedia's first article created in the year 2010. Saludos, cordialmente Globalphilosophy (talk) 00:43, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats! She beat Billfrith by seconds. Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 21:22, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You mean the first article after 00:00 GMT? Editors closer to the international date line had been working on articles well before midnight in London. Nick-D (talk) 21:49, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
UTC ... the objectively true time. ;) Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 21:58, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2009 World Chess Championships?[edit]

The article talks about the "2009 World Chess Championships", but was there such a championship? We have an article for World Chess Championship 2008, and for World Chess Championship 2010, but there doesn't seem to be a 2009 championship. 217.43.149.157 (talk) 20:17, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[1] Sorry, it's the World YOUTH Chess Championship. SirFozzie (talk) 21:19, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Resides outside the Western Hemisphere"[edit]

The statement that she is the "only female on the list who resides outside the Western Hemisphere" is rather confusing. Isn't Peru in the Western Hemisphere? Where does she reside, then? Was this supposed to say "eastern"? rspεεr (talk) 21:49, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Inside. Not Outside. Sorry, brainfart :) SirFozzie (talk) 08:46, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

GM title disputed[edit]

Her FIDE card (linked at the bottom of the article) says that she has the title of Womens International Master, not Grandmaster. That means that at least two things need to be changed. And I don't know if they are still correct if WIM is substituted for GM. Bubba73 (You talkin' to me?), 18:30, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well the March 2010 FIDE list says WIM, so I've gone with that. She's clearly not a GM yet.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 00:39, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
