Fair use rationale for Image:DevilKazuya2.jpg[edit]

Image:DevilKazuya2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:44, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge (DEVIL AND KAZUYA)[edit]

Should Devil's article, Devil merely being a representation of Kazuya after becoming controlled by the Devil gene, be merged with Kazuya's article, as Devil Jin's article has being merged with Jin's article? Michael Mad 09:41, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now this I disagree with, because the two characters are not treated as being one and the same in EVERY Tekken game like Devil Jin and Jin have been. For example, Tekken 3 specifically suggests that Devil "separated" from Kazuya somehow, and Kazuya's very origin suggests that they were two beings who merged into one. King Zeal 19:48, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the line saying if Devil is a sentinent entity or actually one with or part of Kazuya has become quite blurry since the release of Tekken 4. I respect your opinion King Zeal, and so, instead of merging the articles of Devil and Angel with the article of Kazuya, I will just merge Devil's article and Angel's article as you would like me to. It's getting late here in Ireland though, so I'll merge them tomorrow. Michael Mad 21:57, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kazuya and devil was all ways one, just because devil was a seperated character it deosnt mean that they was two defferent characters. the reason why they was two seperated characters is so that you can play as kazuya's devil side. if you played tekken tag tournament angel's ending shows her touching devil and devil turns back into kazuya and kazuya wakes up and angel is gone. Devil was all ways one with kazuya because kazuya was born with the devil gene, look up devil gene wikipedia page and you will get more imformation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrew Crow (talkcontribs) 21:01, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is going to get merged into Kazuya, merge it as well rather than just redirecting. If you just redirect this article (and its information) gets lost and thus all references to this article become meaningless. 155.212.30.130 (talk) 19:10, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SEPARATE ARTICLE FOR ANGEL[edit]

Angel is a completely different character to Devil. So why is her article merged?

The reason she is a palette swap is because she shares the same moves as Devil. However she has her own story.

Roger and Alex are two characters who get two different articles and yet Angel is of more significance to the series and she is merged.

story[edit]

Angel is sent down from the heavens to defeat the Devil within Kazuya and free his soul. But she fails and is defeated.

Also, the article does not describe her ending. The separate article that used to be on Angel was much better and contained more information, so what happened?

FOR MORE INFORMATION AND TO SEE HER ENDING GO TO : http://www.tekkenpedia.com/wiki/Angel

I'm against a merger for several reasons. First, regardless of what the story is for Angel, Wikipedia is a site that utilizes out-of-universe context to build its articles...not story. Also, whatever story is provided needs to come from an official Namco source. Not another web encyclopedia or a fansite. And lastly, it's not up to us to figure out which characters are "more significant" to the series. Angel hasn't added anything more to the Tekken plot than Roger has. In fact, since Tekken 2, Roger has had a son. What has Angel done in that time?
Again, I'm saying that we should leave story out of this decision. Angel is a palette swap of Devil. Thus, she and he should a merged article in my opinion. King Zeal 06:06, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is speculated that she is Asuka reincarnated, because of the fact Asuka got rid of the devil within Jin in her ending. Also Jun was speculated to be Angel, but this has not been confirmed. Anyway, she is of more significance, because she has more to do with the main story arc. All of this can be added to help expand the article.
Speculation cannot be put into an article. Read the rules at WP:NOR. As I said before, any information you give MUST come from an official Namco source or a published magazine (like GamePro, IGN, etc.). Theories, speculation and conjecture are NOT allowed on Wikipedia. King Zeal 18:40, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You seem very hypocritical, because you state that Wikipedia uses out of universe context (with a link?), yet you state Roger is more significant because he had a son.
No, that was only one example of how ANYONE could give whatever reasons they want to say a character is "more important". I wasn't trying to make Roger seem important at all. I was just making a point. Angel has never been mentioned in the official story of Tekken (the one found in the game's instruction booklets), in any opening cutscene, or even mentioned by another character. So why, then, is she important? King Zeal 18:40, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
[CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BELOW]
Also does this mean that we merge all characters together, if we look at it from out of universe context? For example, should we merge character articles together from Tv shows, games, etc.?
If the situation calls for it, yes. Look at this examples:
It seems the answer to this is character articles are separate because of the large amount of space taken up if they were all merged. Is the Angel article merged because it is also small?
To conclude, a character who is still regarded as important should NOT be merged just because it is a palette swap. Take Mario and Luigi for example, they were a palette swap. Should we merge their articles? Jagzthebest 13:10, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Mario and Luigi don't count because both have become their own characters with their own distinct traits and their own games. Luigi has been in games without Mario...such as in Mario Is Missing as well as Luigi's Mansion. Angel has NEVER appeared in a game without Devil. She has ALWAYS been his pallette swap. King Zeal 18:40, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why does Miharu Hirano have her own article?!!!!! She is less important than angel!!!!!!!! It is obvious angel should have her own article! she is very important and some of her elements still appear in tekken- asuka getting rid of the devil from Jin for example. angel has a seperate body than devil!!!!! panda has a seperate article than kuma!!!!!! Jagzthebest 23:54, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I'm so late, and Jag here has been blocked and all, but I was on holiday when you sent me the message Zeal. Angel is Devil's palette swap. She has only appeared in one canon game, and has not been mentioned since. Also, a lack of out of universe information about her, as well as in universe for that matter, makes any article she could herself have short and unimpressive. == JUN IS ANGEL ==

Jun kazama is Angel, cant you see it explains alot about jin kazama's devil transformation he is a hybrid between devil and angel. and devil jin has black angel wings and devil horns, and I know it sounds crazy but think about it, the reason jun is angel is because on tekken tag jun touch jin and he turn back normal just like when angel devil he change back to kazuya. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrew Crow (talkcontribs) 21:14, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Angel needs more info because its stupid as hell, It doenst tell me anything in here, whoever wanted it merge, nice going dumbass. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.5.10.225 (talk) 19:42, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
