Shut-off and privatization[edit]

Our source for the information about the cut-off and possible privatization is rather POVish. Can we get something from newspapers, etc.? I would like to see a more neutral and nuanced discussion of how so many accounts became delinquent, what steps have been taken toward privatization and whether that has anything to do with the delinquent accounts, etc. Peter Chastain ^{[habla, por favor]} 00:02, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Update to Contemporary Issues[edit]

The Contemporary Issues section should be updated to reference a brief history of DWSD's ties with Flint, fear of a water war, and how these actions led to the current Flint water crisis. Alternatively, this information can be added in a new section.

The current section only focuses on the talks of delinquent accounts in June 2014, and relies too heavily on direct quotes from online articles. Some of these articles are not directly relevant to DWSD (like Jon Stewart's segment on Daily Show)
