Ideology[edit]

Can we be more precise about this? Speaking as someone with very limited knowledge of Indonesian politics is very difficult to understand what this party stands for; the page on Pancasila is too general. Is it leftist, right wing, popularist, commununist, or something entirely different? I will post this also on the Indonesian wikiproject. YeshuaDavid (talk) 13:45, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Why the name is not "Democrat Party"? In Indonesian, suffix '-tic' transliterate as '-si', so Democratic Party means Partai Demokrasi which is wrong. Regards. --Tensa Februari (talk) 01:23, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

+1. It seems to follow 2013's Carnegie Endowment report. The fact is that their Indonesian language knowledge is wrong. Bennylin (talk) 07:10, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Tensa Februari, it is the WP:COMMONNAME in English used by sources such as The Jakarta Post. enjoyer|talk 04:31, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

General Chairman after the 2021 conflict[edit]

The result of the 2021 Extraordinary Congress in Sibolangit is widely disputed by members of the Democrat Party. So please, until there are more reports on this, don't change the General Chairman to Moeldoko and keep it to Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. Thanks --PaPa PaPaRoony (talk) 02:18, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The fact that it is disputed does not make AHY is the chairman, that's why the entry there should be "disputed" instead of AHY or Moeldoko. In my opinion, it should stay disputed until the State Department have a say on this matter. This goes also to the Chairperson section, both Moeldoko and AHY should be marked as disputed.SunDawn (talk) 02:57, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It should be noted that the dispute should reflect the similarity between this article and this article. Absolutely we are looking forward to the government update but that doesn't mean that the dispute really not happening Azmi1995 (talk) 06:13, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
