Notability[edit]

The fact that wikipedia has been so long without this article somewhat implies to me that its notability will be questioned, so I'll just express my rationale here. As far as I'm aware the term isn't particularly widely used, and I've yet to find reliable sources on the web to reference. However, I've seen it used much in my own linguistics education and it's in common use - by my lecturer, at least. Nevertheless I don't doubt that the article's inclusion in wikipedia would be more valuable than its exclusion. Oliverbeatson (talk) 20:57, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
