The result of this discussion was Do Not Merge. Support for a merge seems lacking. In addition, the proposer never tagged the other article, and also failed to identify which is the destination article.NukeofEarl (talk) 16:34, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest merge with Battle_of_Kamalpur. Some edits done in Belligerents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.180.81.114 (talk) 21:18, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

;-) I guess one article is Bangladesh friendly and the other Pakistan friendly in some ways. A merge may start a war. So Keep

Attempts to Wikify[edit]

I did not add a Hatnote as the merge suggestion is still open. the problem with this article is that its a word-to-word copy of A History Of The Pakistan Army: Wars And Insurrections Second Edition With A New Chapter On The Kargil Issue by Brian Cloughley. I have added the book as a suitable reference in the article, so hopefully that should take care of any copyright issues. No inline HTML's found and infobox is already present. So removing the tag. Merge it quickly[edit]

As per wikipedia guidelines, multiple article on same topic must be merged, there cant be Pakistan WP:POV and Bangladesh POV articles. Battle of Kamalpur follows the article naming convention and is unbiased, whereas Defence of Kamalpur article is written wit heavy apologist POV to "show defeat as win". India won the battle, Pakistanis Army had surrendered to the Indian army at the end of this battle on 4th Dec, much before Pakistan lost the overall war and the 93000 soldiers Pakistani army later surrendered to the Indian Army on the 16th December. Back in 2011, some has suggested merge these 2 articles but another editor seems to have 'manipulated the outcome, read this above. How has this article survived since 2011? Please merge immediately. 58.182.172.95 (talk) 18:43, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Kautilya3, please help with quick merge, been pending since 2011. Perhaps just WP:SPEEDY of this POV article is a better option compared to trying to merge. Thanks. 58.182.172.95 (talk) 18:57, 12 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
