Pre-FLC review[edit]

  • "It is given to honor the outstanding work of a game show host that has appeared in at least 19% of total episodes for the calendar year." Since "host" refers to a person, "that" should be "who" instead.
  • In the third paragraph, Peter Marshall's first name doesn't need to be repeated, unless there's another Marshall mentioned who I missed.
  • "Trebek has since received five wins." It looks like he's only won four after the 1990 award. If this is meant to refer to his career total, the phrasing could be better.
  • What do you suggest should be the phrasing? Since this is meant to refer to his career total.
  • "more than any other hosts." The last work probably shouldn't be plural.
  • I'm not sure how I feel about the tables being split by decade. This isn't how I remember the other lists in the series to come through FLC, and it's a fairly unusual formatting style for FLs. It's not something I'd oppose over, but be ready for questions about it by reviewers.
  • I understand, it is just I believe that since mobile devices such as phone and tablets have become a true sensation, and people are using it more than desktops and laptops, I find it very difficult and it takes a longtime for a reader to look for a specific nominee or winner. Why does the scrolling have to be super long, when they can just click to a specific decade. I find it easier. JMHO  — JJakathestrength (talk, contribs) 21:17, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Some of the first 10 years appear to be lacking references for non-winning nominees. This should definitely be addressed before bringing the list to FLC. Giants2008 (Talk) 19:33, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I know I have realized that. It is just I spent weeks trying to find sources for these years and it is been absoloutely impossible for me to find any reliable references. Do you mind helping me find some sources? Thank you!  — JJakathestrength (talk, contribs) 21:17, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you can't find sources, then you can just remove what can't be cited. We can't ask you to add content that can't be reliably sourced, after all. I did searches for a couple of years on Google and came up empty. Giants2008 (Talk) 22:13, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Giants2008, I think I am just going to leave it as is, and wait awhile, and then maybe I can find reliable sources for the missing years. Thus, me nominating this article for a featured list would be put on hold. Thank you so much for your help!!! Mind you take a time out of your busy day, and also look at Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show, just to make sure everything makes sense and the English is proper? It would be greatly appreciated, thank you!  — JJakathestrength (talk, contribs) 03:34, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I made a couple of copy-edits over there for you, but it didn't need that much in that respect. It does need more references for early nominees, like this list. Giants2008 (Talk) 21:15, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
